Check out dead white guys. Hawthorne is one of my favorites. There's a reason, several, in fact, why these people continue to be read, understood, and admired. There must have been something in the water around here because their insights into society and the human psyche are right on. Hopefully, this whole trend of discounting people just because their dead and white and men doesn't continue. Once you've seen the grave marker, check out one of the books!
