Radisson Hotel Boston: On the Charles River
  • Tip Rating:
  • Satisfaction:
  • We got the hotel through Hotels.com for $109. We had a balcony with a view of the Charles and the room was lovely. It had a king sized bed and was on the 11th floor, so the view was really great.

The hotel has a Greek Restaurant and a Japanese Steak House on the premises. A Trader Joe's is next door, and we walked to Harvard Square for dinner. It took us about 20 minutes, along the Charles' park-like walkway.

Unique Qualities: We didn't visit the pool, but the facilities seemed clean and the lobby had several very comfortable areas to wait for other people, or just to relax.

In the morning, we left late, so we didn't get a chance to take advantage of the coffee/tea area provided. It was pretty basic. We had made coffee in the room, but it was just okay. Never enough sugar, and the creamer seemed like it had been through a lot. Good thing there's a Peet's in the Harvard area!

  • I only saw the lobby...but word has it that the rooms are comfy but small. There are a couple of loungy bars here too.

Unique Qualities: This place can boast that it employed Malcolm X in the kitchen. I'm checking if Chairman Mao also worked here. No better place to see the disparity between the classes, I suppose.

I used to be a waiter, too (when I was a student in New York), so I know how you feel. Happy New Year, and greetings from Frankfurt am Main.

We had some great food at this place when we used to live right around the block in Cherry St. Probably the best tasting food in Waltham (& much of Bsoton actually). It's nice to see these places here, or you may just forget. Thanks for that. :-)

Great page, what a wondeful place to visit. You know I think there is so much just to see in the states that is just as wonderful!
