I recently visited Maine again and traveled up to Bangor. I've visited Littlejohn Island several times and Acadia once - hopefully again!
My most recent trip consisted of just a couple of days; we went to Mt. Battie and Camden. Since it was Easter Sunday, not much was open. It allowed us to enjoy the scenes without pushing through the usual crowds.
- Pros:Still has seemingly untouched areas
- Cons:It's being invaded at an alarming rate!

Nice tips on new places in Maine -- well, new to me, even though I spent two summers there in some other century. Did the plaque give any hints about which sites inspired her more erotic poetry?
Great page, love the photo's and all the travel tips are great! I especially liked the Bunyan in Bangor. That is so cool! Glad to see those dorky touristy eye catchers still exits. I miss Route 66.
Maine realy looks a great city! Impressive church or cathedral! :))) Well done!
Great photos in "off beaten paths". Look like a very interesting region....
maine is great he pines and spruce like canada also get the ocean
Heading there in September, I'll try and do more than sample the beer. I will camp and hike, I promise.
A very nice page on Maine! It still has a lot of the great outdoors to explore!
great photos and yes Miller's is the best in Bangor. Mount Battie looks intreging
Beautiful page of my birth state! I hope to be in Maine this summer. I've been to Camden many times but haven't done the Mt Battie hike. I grew up near Lewiston so I know that area very well! Thanks for the wonderful memories!!
I have to try camping in Acadia this summer. One of the best places to see the foliage peaking. Good resto tips.
