I had heard that Timbuctu was deluding, not up to expectations instead it has been a real discovery. The place hooked me up since the beginning, with its sandy colours where sky and earth looked the same. There was a sand storm when I was there, my nose was bleeding but i had the fortune to get lost in the city. Wandering around trying to find my way back I could see unexpected corners, kids behind doors, people smiling. It was magic.
