Welcome to my travel and culinary pages!
I am specially interested in the cuisine of the places I visit, (actually not of only of those, but that is a different story). This is one aspect of the culture I try to study thoroughly before going. I think that it is so important in understanding people, to eat what they eat and in the same way they do. To be invited to share the food with locals is a great honour and I am very thrilled when this happens.
I try to learn about the ingredients, the methods of cooking and to get acquainted to tastes sometimes so different from my own. Us westerners we have such a big responsibility (once more) in ruining the local traditions by exporting our junk pasta or pizza, so please, when you travel, make the effort (if such has to be) to look for the traditional dishes to encourage the preservation of the local customs.
This is why in my pages you'll find a special accent on traditional food. There are still a lot of things I have to learn, and suggestions are always welcome....
