Small village nestled in the wayside

In between the Palmer Wasilla area and Anchorage is a stop known as Eklutna. These traditional native grounds are now home to the Eklutna native village, Thunderbird Falls, and Eklutna Lake state park (pictured).
Driftwood in the forest, a token from a time when Eklutna Lake held higher waters.

I spent the night a few yards from the lake, and thought of you when I saw signs for Eagle River.

Rebecca I see a picture now! Sport travel sounds cool! I mean renting a bike or hiking are the best kind of sports with swimming and Teakowando! LOL
