Silbando: Modern tango with a Belgian influence!!!!

The milonga in Silbando is every Friday evening from 9.30 pm. It was the first one I have been to when I arrived in Zürich and it gave me a very good feeling of the swiss capital of tango! There were a lot of good dancers which were very curious and did not hesitate to invite unknown dancers like me :-) A lot of them dance in open style...similar to a Belgian teachers couple which comes there to give wortkshops every two monthes... so apparently like the Belgian tango :-)

The second time I went there, the Dj played a lot of non-tango music but very "dansable"! I really love to dance tango on swiss hip hop music!!!! Really a lot of fun!

TangOtra: Tango of all times

The milonga at TangOtra is every Saturday evening from 9.30pm. I met there a lot of people that I met already on the Friday 's milonga at Silbando, so there were good dancers too. The first time I went there, there was a special theme : 100 years tango... from the oldiest ones of the beginning of the century to the most modern ones of 2003... the name of the singer/orchester and the title appears on a screen behind the DJ and it was very interesting!
The configuration of the room seems to change from one week to another...and the people are also different from one time to another... it is always a surprise!!
