"Zuerich" Zürich by ptitetoile

I saw Zuerich only by night...because I was there only the evening of my arrival by plane (destination Chur) and three other nights for dancing tangos. On the first night, I just saw the main station (Bahnof : a very large and impressive nice building), the Bahnhofstrasse (expensive shopping street), the Lake and a small part of the old town...but I have to admit that it was quite cold and my friend Daniel and I were happy to get inside of a restaurant to warm up a little bit!

Thus Zuerich has been for me mainly a tango town... and what a tango town! A kind of capital of the swiss tango because the quality of the dancers was quite high. The dancers from Zuerich are very sympathic and open-minded. Coming from Belgium, it was easier to make a good impression (in a discussion) because they love the tango style of a Belgian couple from Brussels giving workshop regulary in Zuerich (Vincent & Maryline). The two milongas visited are Silbando and TangOtra, both situated in the industrial area quite "in" for the moment.
