Argentina, the rainbow country!

Rainbow on its butterflies,
Rainbow on its waterfalls,
Rainbow on its mountains,
Rainbow on its old houses and cars,
Rainbow in the street scenes
Rainbow in the mind of the people...
waiting for the sun after the rain...

The end of 2004 was a big moment for me because I discovered Argentina for the first time! A trip dreamed for a long time...and finally realised with my friend Charles (new VT-member BeChar).
We choosed to travel to Argentina...of course because it is the home country of the tango!!!!....And there, I discovered that it is much, much, much more than that!!!!!

We stayed 7 days in Buenos Aires, the capital but made also a trip of two weeks in the North of Argentina... We went to these different places :

1) Buenos Aires

2) Puerto Iguazu - The waterfalls (Cataratas) and the National Park -

3) Salta

to the North of Salta :

-Jujuy
-Quebrada de Humahuaca
-Maimara
-Tilcara
-Humahuaca
-Pumamarca
-Salinas Grandes

to the South of Salta:

-Quilmes
-Quebrada de Cafayete
-Cafayete
-Tafi del Valle
-Tucuman

4) Mendoza

-Maipu
-Uspallta
-Los Penitentes
-Puente del Inca
-Las Cuevas
-Aconcagua national park

All this different places showed me the diversity and the richness of the argentinian landscape and the sympathy and hospitality of the population!

Wow!!! Terrrific tango pictures. I hope you had a chance to partake of this in the birthplace of tango. I fell in love with tango while I was there and hope to learn it before my next trip down. Hope to see some great tips on Argentina. Ciao.
