Smelly sulfur hot water

Abainou seems to be THE touristic attraction of the area : a source of thermal warm water (40°C!).... but it is not a must !
We wanted to go there because it was close to our place (Guelmim) and to see the source but as we discovered that it was in a normal swimming pool...we were a bit disappointed... And we were a bit surprised by the odor... it was maybe due to the sulfur of the water but it made us think also dat it was not very clean...and indeed, after the visit (yes.. too late), we read in the "guide du routard", it is the favorite place of all kinds of germs! But anyway, we had a bit of fun and we came out with a reinforced immunity!!!

So to forget about our deception, we spent a nice time in the near oasis where we could discover the watering techniques :-)

    The smell of sulfur waters can be amazing if you don't know it is natural !
