To enjoy really the atmosphere of Djamaa El Fna square, you have to stop at a stand at least to eat one little thing! There are a lot of these "climatised restaurant" and they all have numbers to recognize them. It is difficult to choose as the food is quite the same everywhere, so the best is to find one that gives you the most favors! Well, that is what happened with us! I don't know if it was because I put kohl on my eyes this evening, but at the nr12, they said that I could eat there for free! So my friends and I stopted there and we had a wonderful evening with Adil (the chief of the stand) and his crew! The food was delicious! We were really spoiled :-) As soon as our glas of tea was empty, they wanted to fill it again and again and again...

Favorite Dish: The french fries are delicous... not as good as the best ones (Chez Antoine) in Brussels but though, we could not resist to come again another evening to eat them!

Restaurant Name: Nid de Cigogne

This restaurant/tea salon is great for its location and view : on a terrace above the Saadian tombs with a view on the storks...a mediterranean atmosphere with new furniture in sculpted iron...and the food is also very good (tajine and couscous)
And on the level of the street, you will find a bakery with delicious sorts of little breads/pastries with cream, chocolate... the best ones in all Marrakesh for us!!!!
On the picture, we are in the only place covered (all the rest is outdoor) because it was raining. The white drink is almond juice and the green one is pistachio nut juice, ...specialities!

Restaurant Name: Chez Mimoun

The restaurant is a old riad with a inner court... charming with a lot of decoration everywhere, maybe a bit too much... nice tables with candles ...very romantic. The food was very good (couscous and tajine)... The waiters were in costume but did not seem to enjoy their job very much...
You have to see it even if you don't want to eat in it. And if you want to eat, it is better when it is warm, not when it is raining because the tables are in the court.
