Saint Valery is a medieval town that kept all its charm. The main street contains a lot of old souvenirs shops. A lot of streets are steep, narrow and really nice. The area called the medieval town contain fortress walls, little houses and towers...Jeanne d'Arc was there when she was condamned.
This town is really touristic on the weekend 15 of august...as you can see on the picture...but there are always some little place you can enjoy in peace all the way to the little church of Saint Valery at the end of the town on a hill.

It is situated at the delta of the Bay of the river Somme where you can see the show of the tide going in and out on a very large surface. At low tide, the sand areas appear and it is possible to walk from one side of the Bay (Saint Valery) till the other side (Le Crotoy). A wonderful scenery where you can discover an impressive fauna and flora! The Bay is also known for being the Seal Bay...because seals can been seen on the sand at some places when the water is low.

There are streets called "rue fleuries" because flowers grow between the walls of the properties and the street and along the houses. A magic place full of colors.
