There are about 4-5 hotels on each of the islands (Cayo Coco & Cayo Guillermo), and THAT's IT!!!
It's as secluded as it gets! If you enjoy quiet, sand, water and a very secure and safe place... this is it!
(I come here after a few months of 12hr working days:))
The beaches in Cayo Coco are absolutely gorgeous but very shallow, so if you like to go swimming, staying in the water all day and also if you enjoy water sports, this may not be the place.
All teh staff at the Sol Melia hotels is absolutely fantastic! You are guaranteed to have fun with them:)
Anyhow, it's a place to RELAX....RELAX....and RELAX
The new airport is now open right on CAYO COCO (CCC).
So.... if you are staying in any of the resort in Cayo Coco or Cayo Guillermo, it will not be more than a 15 min. ride (yes!!!!....beacuse it used to be 1.5 hrs)......
....now, the only thing is.... it was a bird sanctuary up to now, who knows what will happen .....

If you like smaller resorts , this is it. Right on the beach....(gorgeous beach mind you).... stand up to the Iberostar... more travel advice

A disco in a cave sounds very cool:-) Those hotels and resorts all look wonderful. I think its always good to get a good view at local life. Yikes the Mosquitoes... lots of great tips here.. tks.
