The beautifil beach of Varadero

hey!...that's my boyfreind....disappearing
And here are some of my tips for Varadero!
Beautiful place .....the most commercialized in Cuba (for those who like that). Mostly tourists and touristy stuff to do.

I went back this time because I really wanted to see Havana, but next time....I think I will just go to Havana and stay there.

Some of you may like this, some may not...but Varadero is beach and nothing else. I haven't founf the peole to be as nice and frendlya s other parts of Cuba either.

This is the only lace in Cuba where people will ask you to give them money or the clothes you are wearing, expecting it.

I couldn't care to go back to Varadero again, but I hope you enjoy it. Here are my tips:)

Varadero - Barcelo Solymar Resort

We enjoyed our stay in Varadero very much....has fabulous weather....great waves and beach.... fun on the mopeds and driving around.....

The hotel we stayed at is "Barcelo Solymar", rated as 4+ in all brochures and 5 by the hotel.
If you have stayed at a 4+ or 5 star before, this is neither....it's a nice 4 star, but no more. There are plenty of nicer properties in Varadero, if that's what you care for.

We still had tons of fun.

You can find pictures of the Barcelo Solymar on

by clicking on REVIEWS and than Barcelo Solymar!

Pros:"White sand awesome beach, close to the airport..."
Cons:"too many tourists, but hey... some like that"
In A Nutshell:"must see at least once"

Hi, do you know the earliest the bus picks up people from varadero to Havana. (how long is the trip). I will be arriving at the varadero international airport(cuba) at 5:20 AM. I need to get to Havana as soon as I can. Please advised.

I agree, next time we are going to Havana and also the Pinar Del Rio region...great tips. We stayed at the Tuxpan where LaBamba was...it was pretty cool!
