Oh, say can you see, by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?

Times Square
This is a view at the New York Times Square. It is called Square but it is not one. It is like a bow consisting of Seventh Avenue, 42nd Street and Broadway in the centre of Manhattan. This area is one of the biggest place of entertainment. Many famous characters for example John Barrymore or Bernadette Peters have been here, too. More when 11million people visit the great show on Broadway every year. You can also find most important firms of entertainment here like Viacom/MTV. The first name was "Longacre Square" but it was changed when the New York Times moved here in 1904. Nowadays this newspaper is on another place but the "One Times Square Plaza" is almost famous because since 1907 a big, silver and bright crystal globe have hung on top of the house every New Year's eve.
