Boquette is situated in the valley of an extinct volcano and is one of Panama's main producers of coffee. Very european in styling as you ride in from up top of the hills into the valley (pictured). Beautiful, quiet and fairly decent White Water Rafting, and good horse back tours of the area. There is a constant drizzle that falls upon the town throughout the day. Hot and drizzly... just the way I like it.
I'll try to post more asap. Contact me if you'd like more info. Enjoy!
Bocas del Toro is a great place to meet locals and travelers alike. Beautiful untouched beaches with no-one on them and decent diving. We spent most of our time hanging out with our dive masters, their friends & families. People are very friendly and accomodating. Watch out for pick pockets who have 'ins' with banking security gaurds. hahaha... they may try to pull a fast one while you wait in line!
El Valle de Anton is an interesting little place about 1.5 hours via bus from Panama City. Our stay started with a trip to a local pub/bar that advertised 50 cent beer and patrons that just plain old, didn't like us but, hey.. it was only 50 cents a beer, and I'll put up with alot of abuse for 50 cent beers.
Besides the 50 cent beer, canopy tour and the Aguas Calientes there's not a whole lot else to do or see in this beautiful but sleepy little town. El Valle will however give you a sense of the 'real' Panama. Great people, and very relaxing.
- Pros:Nice people, inexpensive, good food
- Cons:Stinky Urinals :-)
- In a nutshell:Nice people, inexpensive, good food & stinky urinals

Neat page, Te. Unusual adventures, as usual! I'm thinking of checking out Panama eventually. Is Boquete really this hot?!
Good swimming skills and a helmet...Great Tip for the Kamikazee boat ride!! LOL Only 1 in 5 survive each night!! Sounds like you made some great friends on this trip!
Nice page thanks.
I was contemplating a possible "New Year's Eve" at the Ultimate Beach until I saw that *Toilet* pic, Te-boy! But then the *Pringles & Beer* pic brought the idea back. Last year it was Cristal in Nepal....perhaps this year, Pringles in Panama? ;-)
