My travels in this region have included Taquille, Amantani and the Uros Islands. This 2-3 day trip is very inexpensive and the price will not vary much whether organized by a tour company ($9.00 US) or by yourself. If you do choose to go by yourself, you'll be putting more money into the local peoples hands than if you use a tour company which takes a portion as a commision. |

You can learn alot about this simple but hard life. The photo opportunities are spectacular but the air is thin :-) |
