Bordeaux is such a nice place in Aquitaine, you gonna find in the same room beautiful countryside and desert beaches, friendly people and the best gastronomie I've ever tasted after spanish food!
The city itself is pretty nice, but you have to visit the small towns around.
Perigueux have the very best restaurants in Aquitaine. Small restaurants and nice atmosphere. Available for every budget, you could have a quality meal for 20 €, much cheaper than Lyon.
Sant-Emilion is a fantastic place to buy some wine, red wine of course is the best choice, and the town is lovely and welcoming.
