Pownal township is tucked down in the south west corner of Vermont, on Route 7 between Bennington and Massachusetts. It consists of the villages of North Pownal, Pownal and Pownal Center. Being right on the Mass border, it is filled with loads of little touristy knickknack shops along Route 7 selling Vermont maple syrup and cheese.
