Egypt!!!

Fortunately, I was given the opportunity to visit one of the oldest civilisations in the world. The down point, unfortunately, was that I was only given a day here and on very tight security!!!

Egypt is one of the countries I would definitely have to visit again. We arrived here on a cruise from Cyprus, it arrived really early in the morning and immediately we were loaded into buses parked by the port. Most of us were on a day trip to visit the major sites, the rest carried on to the various Egyptian calls. Oh you should have seen the amount of security we had! There were at least ten busloads of tourist heading in a straightline towards Cairo with three police cars in front and another three behind. It was rather daunting to be honest, but I'd rather be surrounded by machine guns firing from me than firing towards me. Hahaha! It took us about 3 hours to get to the Pyramids, and that was already mid-day and it was really bloody hot, I was drinking water like a fish!
