Chiang Mai International Airport Airplane Review

The city does have a very small airport. If you can't get a direct flight into Chiang Mai, you'd most probably be likely to transit over in Bangkok. A flight from Bangkok will take about an hour. There is a very nice executive lounge for Thai business class passengers...hehe. Free drinks and snacks i must add! Lol!

Express train from Bangkok Train Review

The State Railway does most of the train networking in Thailand including the Bangkok to Chiang Mai one. The distance from the two cities is about 751km and it takes about the same time as the coach...12-14hours. Yes, i know...express train. However, this is much comfortable depending on the cabin class u choose. U should check out the website for classes and prices. There is a cheaper but bloody-uncomfortable-u-will-definitely-get-a-back-ache train service which will cost u less than US$3!

Coach from Bangkok Busses Review

There are coach services from Bangkok which are probably the cheapest way getting to Chiang Mai. The journey takes about 12-15hours so ur ass will get pretty soar by the time u arrive.
