The city of Chiang Mai Chiang Mai is approximately 700km north of Bangkok. It is the second largest city in Thailand but you won't believe how laid back life is here compared to the capital itself. And at least a bit more air to breathe! Ahahaha! Chiang Mai is surrounded by mountains which makes the climate around it nice and cool. However, it does get really hot in the day in the summer months. I've been here twice, once by air and once by coach from Bangkok. All I can say is DON'T take the coach unless your backside needs some good massage! |
Buddhist Temple This is Chiang Mai Buddhist Temple and the biggest temple in the city itself. It is on one of the mountains and you should make an effort to wake up early. Don't know wot's with these long flights of steps but yes, there is another one of those here. |
