"Routeloose" Italy by martinelli

Being born and raised in a touristic city I have adopted some methods of travelling that, I agree, might sound a bit strange.

My method in the very famous places was "do not study, do not follow any tousit routes". And that's what I did. I just went out, took the subway or simply walked down the first street I saw and whatever I'd find, it was found. Always with my camera, a notebook and a pen.

Italy was the prime of "routeloose" to me. I would simply bump into monuments and streets and people and wonderful concerts, delicious pizza places and stuff only to find out later I had been in a dangerous area of town.

But in that point my looks - I sort of look arabian and that helps a lot a girl who's travelling by herself in Europe - must have saved me from some trouble. Also I have notions of italian (as you must have noticed by my last name, Martinelli). My grandpa is italian and his city is the only one that I had actually planed to visit before getting in the country.

Please join me in this ride through Italy!
