It can be very difficult to cross a street in one of bigger cities in Syria. I had been i Lebanon befor coming to Syria and there cars slowed down if a person had started to cross the street. I soon found out that this was not the case in Syria. The cars don't slow down even though someone has started to cross a street. Be prepered to run!
