| | Aswan is a pleasant town and there are many places to visit in and around the city. It is very beautiful around the Nile where it passes Aswan. The desert reaches the water and there are several islands in the river. Many cruise ships come here and they are docked along the Cornish. On the Nile you will also see many feluccas. Aswan is a good base if you want to visit the temples in Abu Simble and Philea. And in Aswan you have sites as the Nubian Museum, the Unfinished Obelisk, the monuments on the west bank and the islands Elephantine and Kitchener’s Island. There are plenty of things to do for several days. |

LoriPori Mon May 19, 2008 17:18 UTC Very intriguing and captivating page on Aswan. I was truly fascinated by Abu Simbel, the Temple of Ramses. I must come here one day, but not being as brave as you are, I will only see it as part of a guided tour. | omidamini Thu May 15, 2008 06:12 UTC Thanks for very helpful information about Aswan | scottishvisitor Thu Nov 15, 2007 17:07 UTC Would love to see the temples and treasures here in Aswan = maybe one day!!
