Around Dogubayazit

by MalenaN - last update: Oct 30, 2005

Ishak Pasha Sarayi on the hill.
When I had decided to go to Turkey I borrowed a book in which I saw a photo of
Isak Pasha Sarayi. I immediately felt that I wanted to go there, even if it was almost
as far east in Turkey you can get.
On my trips through Turkey in 2003 and 2004 I visited Dogubayazit both times.

Hey there! I've never been to Turkey cuz I always thought it was too far away (I'm in Ankara by the way). After visiting your page, I seriously started considering an Eastern Turkey trip for next fall. Thanks a lot for the tips.

Very impressive views of Isak Pasha Palace and those other nearby relics on the side of the mountain! Being so close to Armenia, I knew this part of Turkey would be beautiful. It must have been nice to see snow-capped Mt. Ararat off in the distance too!
