Nemrutdagi Travel Guide: 28 reviews and 48 photos
On the top of the mountain Nemrut Dagi is a huge hill of pebbles. This was built 2000 years
ago by a king who thought of himself as a god-king. It is belived that the tomb of the king,
Antiochus, lies beneath this 50 metres high mound.
The heads of Nemrut Dagi has fallen of sitting statues of gods and king Antiochus.
I saw the sunset from the west terarace and would really like to see the sunrise from
the east terrace one day.

Great pictures and info about Nemrutdagi. When we visited that interesting place in 1985 there were hardly any visitors around sunset.
Lots of interesting info and some great pictures on a destination that's very high on my 'wish list'. One day.....
