Kazbegi Travel Guide: 81 reviews and 290 photos

Kazbegi is situated in a valley about 1750 metres above sea level in the Caucasus region. The surrounding landscape is beautiful with impressive mountaintops (Mt Kazbeg is the highest peak with its 5047 metres). It is a lovely place, but at the same time it feels a bit strange.

Thank you for visiting Jim! The surroundings of Kazbegi was really beautiful. Can't believe it is already 10 years since I visited.

More beautiful mountain scenery. Like the pic of the Holy Trinity Church perched on top of the hill.

Scenery looks rugged and stunning. Must be surreal when you were there. Cheers, SL :)

Dear Sir, I just wanted to tell you that there is a mistake in the name of the church: it should have been Tsminda Sameba. tsminda in georgian means - Saint.

Awesome shots in your Travelogues!!! What an amazingly beautiful place Kazbegi is - it must have been fantastic to explore the way you did! Shared cabs are not bad - just used a few in Belize not long ago. Top-rate page, thanks!
