A river Runs Through It
Tiny Port Elizabeth

Port Elizabeth is the next town over from where I live in Maurice River Township. It's a sweet, sleepy little town where people just live. There's not much to see in Port Elizabeth, but since they do have our school, firehouse and post office, they actually get a zip code. (Ha ha, we got the gas station!) Since PE is so small, not many businesses are there. However, if you ever take a drive "down the shore," you'll have to pass through Port Elizabeth, and you might get hungry and be tempted to stop at it's only restaurant, the Port o' Call, or the roadside produce stand Camp's. Both places are worth a stop. Camp's is open during warm weather and has good locally grown produce at excellent prices. The Port o' Call is located where Route 55 ends and dumps into Route 47 South. The POC is an intimate little restaurant with good family food and seafood, and on Wednesdays has chicken pot pie. A local favorite!

Were it not for the fact that this library has historical value, I doubt it would still stand. It's only open for a few hours each week. I think it is adorable.
