Bridgeton is the county seat of Cumberland County, New Jersey. It's got quite a few historical landmarks and homes, a free zoo, a modest shopping district, a couple good restaurants and bars, etc. According to the state of New Jersey website, "Bridgeton is New Jersey's largest Historic District with 2,200 Colonial, Victorian and Federalist style buildings". Buildings dating back from as long ago as the 1760's still stand in Bridgeton today. Some of them have been maintained in all their splendor, but sadly most have not.

The area surrounding Bridgeton is farmland and orchards. The orchards are postively beautiful when they are in bloom. In the fall the countryside is rich with color. The rolling hills of the Bridgeton area make for some spectacular photo ops.
