Nightlife in Asturias- party all night!

Asturias has a very vibrant night life, particularly during summer festivals. During festival, the party doens't usually stop until 4 or 5 am. Oviedo, Gijon and Mieres all have a lot of really great pubs and discos to party the night away. I spent a lot of time at night in Oviedo Most of the good night life spots in Oviedo are located in the old part of the city (casco antiguo) , near the cathedral. In this area, no cars are allowed, so the area is overrun with pedestrians partying in the streets. I forget the name of a lot of the pubs and discos I frequented, but I recall that 'La Caverna' was one of my favorites because it wasn't so loud you could actually have a conversation. Pedestrians RULE in the old quarter of Oviedo. This makes for good pubbing and clubbing! (Ladies, some pubs don't stock their toilets with toilet tissue, I suggest you stuff some in your pocket before you venture out. Also ladies, leave your handbag at home, it will just be a hindeance.)

Dress Code: When you go pubbing, anticipate wearing something that makes you look and feel good, but also wear comfortable shoes, becuase you'll be walking ALOT! You won't stay in one place very long. Usually you visit 5 or more places in one evening.
