I was really surprised how much I liked Boston. I don't know why, but I pictured Boston in my head as just another big city, and I'm not really a fan of big cities. Boston was a pleasant surprise: it was clean, the people were nice, and the colonial achitecture was really awseome. |
| | Architecture I'm a big fan of architecture, maybe because I spent two summers drafting or because I'm an engineer. For whatever reason, I love walking around cities and looking at all the neat buildings..
One thing I noticed immediately while driving down in the USA was how patriotic everyone is. There were American (and, as a pleasant surprise to me, some Canadian) flags on people's lawns all over the place.
Here's my attempt at capturing some of this patriotism on camera. |

RobDavis Wed Jul 2, 2003 19:58 UTC Nice page! So how come the cop wanted to take your camera away? | TempNomad Sun Jun 15, 2003 21:41 UTC Nice work on the Boston page...the map tip is VERY true. Boston is the nuttiest city and most wonderful one for walking around, getting lost, and finding amazing spaces. | barryg23 Thu May 29, 2003 16:45 UTC Nice work Duane! | scrooge1947 Wed May 14, 2003 20:39 UTC I guess going to the "Cheers" Bar is better than having a cuppa. |
