Nessebar is a small town on Bulgaria's Black Sea coast, about 40km north of Burgas.
The old part of the town lies on a rocky peninsular, connected to the new part of the town by a 400m long isthmus.
In the summer months, Nessebar attracts huge numbers of tourists. As a result, the town is now somewhat commercialised with countless souvenir shops.
Despite this, Nessebar retains a lot of charm, and it is a pleasure to walk through the narrow, shaded streets of the old town, or along its impressive coastline. |
