Galways is one of my favorite places in Ireland. It wasn't too overun with tourists and really felt Irish. The pubs were great, shopping even better, and of course there were loads of scones to be eaten so I was one happy camper. I really liked traveling out in Connemara nearby, to Kylemore Abbey, the Cliffs of Moher, etc. Hopefully will have some pictures soon. My day on Inishmore in the Aran Islands was fantastic - just a ferry ride away from Galway. See the picture below. |

Alain_Smeets Tue Sep 9, 2003 07:10 UTC Inishmore is like heaven on earth, I loved the bike ride there. We did the same as you, find a deserted place. You saw more cliffs then we, they were fogged in. Nice page. | cachaseiro Sat Aug 16, 2003 13:20 UTC i was in galway a week ago. indeed a very nice town. | babazula Sun Jun 22, 2003 14:37 UTC nice photo. looks mysterious | Meaziah Thu Jun 19, 2003 15:47 UTC Heading to Galway this summer.
