Hello, New Jersey!

by tintinlee - last update: Jan 29, 2004

I don't exactly remember how I heard about New Jersey at the very beginning, but I have this clear image of two kids gettiing aboard a ship in NYC and yelling "Hello New Jersey". This image is from the movie "You've Got Mail". They didn't even show NJ in the movie but I just have this image or sound in my head. What I'm really crazy about is everything they said in the movie about NYC like the fall in NYC, the cafes and city streets.

Well, here I am, right in Jersey. I'm staying in Glassboro in South Jersey where my university is. Actually, I'm an exchange student here and I will only stay here for one semester. Before I left home for the US, I had all those worries about immigration at the airport, time differences, culture shocks and etc. etc. however, everything worked out pretty well. I hate to say this but I can easily adapt to the environment or culture. The reason I say that is because I have no troubles working out my life in Australia or America generally speaking.

I don't have any tips so far since I've only been here for one week. But I can show you some pictures of my university under the beautiful cover of the snow. I'll get as many pictures as I can in the future when I make my trips to Philly, Big Apple and DC.

Alrighty, folks, hope you enjoy whatever you read in my pages although not much, i know.
