    The narrow streets of Gion is pretty interesting. My guess is that this is the red light district which I took a picture off. It is because I saw a lot of pimps trying to get people to patronise teir joint.

    It is wonderful to walk in the evening when the lights are on. Restaurants are usually beautifully lighted up in the evening. Very beautiful at night too. I simply love the place.

    The Gion Area is a nice place where one can see well-restored traditional Japanese architecture. Most of them are restaurants now. Nevertheless, their decor and traditional feel still attracted my attention to take a close look at them.

     Yes, I think they work on a totally different electrical system, we brought an adaptor, but wrong one (duh...). Their phones are also on 3G system (like Korea, where I brought my GSM phone - duh again...)
