Ferry-to Sausalito and Larkspur Ferry Review

The Golden Gate Ferry is your link to Marin County. Ferries leave the San Francisco Ferry Building every hour or so. The rides are scenic and the trips last about half an hour to Sausalito and 40 minutes to Larkspur. The one-way fares are as follows:

Sausalito $5.60
Larksbur $3.25 weekdays, $5.60 weekends.

Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) B.A.R.T Review

BART links San Francisco to most of the Bay Area. With the new Airport Station now finally open, getting to The City from the ariport just got alot easier and cheaper!

When riding BART, you must do the following: Calculate your fare from the chart on the wall or by visiting the BART web site. Purchase your tickets (one per person) from one of the ticket vending machines along the wall. At the gate, feed your ticket as directed and walk through. Take the stairs, and wait for your train. Upon exiting, feed your ticket in the slot and exit. Easy!

The MUNI busses go to every corner of San Francisco. You do NOT need a car to get around the City. San Francisco is so much more than Lombard Street and China Town. Ask a bus driver for a bus schedule and hop on to explore the many hidden gems the city has to offer. Combine your bus travel with MUNI Metro and BART.

The "bad" neighborhoods: In my opinion, the city is safe enough to get lost in. Do not be afraid. As long as it's daytime and you use your wits, don't worry about the "bad" neighborhoods.
