Nightlife Spot: Minh's Jazz Club
We never thought we’d be listening to jazz in Vietnam. Flipping through our guidebooks for things to do one night, we found Minh’s Jazz Club owned by Quyen Van Minh, Vietnam’s best-known jazz musician and self proclaimed creator of Vietnamese jazz. Mr. Minh himself was there, and boy could he wail on his sax! The club had an international crowd, and spring rolls were tasty.

Toby221 Sat Mar 1, 2008 03:45 UTC Hi Quell, Re the restaurant you would never have found: Noodle Shop, 9B Hoa Ma St. How do I find Clair of Hidden Hanoi? I'm going to Hanoi in May. Thx, suzanne.stephen@gmail.com | mvtouring Tue Apr 24, 2007 05:32 UTC The one pillar pagoda is truly amazing ;-) | hooiluangoh Wed Apr 4, 2007 08:30 UTC I would think USD15 spent in a market in Vietnam was horribly expensive. My experience in HCMC was that an excellent meal costs about USD 1 to USD 2 per person, unless we are eating in a international chain-restaurant at international prices. | maysue Sun Nov 19, 2006 09:17 UTC Gosh! It looks very delicious! Yum Yum! |
