Areas to avoid: Cape Town
  • Tip Rating:
  • There is this chemical plant or something just beside the highway when you enter the city from east ( from Somerset West), and when you drive by it it really stinks even if you close all your windows.I dont know what kind of idiot decided to place that thing at the entrance of the city. stinky welcome, huh

    Areas to avoid: Mitchell's Plain
  • Tip Rating:
  • You should know better than going to places like Mitchell's Plain or Khayelitsha, They are the shabby townships, built of tin and everything found on the dump, and trully you have no business there

I am completely offended.I live in M/Plain.I have never been robbed or attacked.I DO NOT live in a shack made from things found in a dump.Things occuring in M/ Plain, where I am sitting right now, occurs everywhere else&is NOT an isolated problem.

This is oposite the old power station, hidden behind some trees. It is actually a suerage treatment plant built by apartheid government. Largely poor/non white townships around so no one cared. Now its causing a stink!!

It's a sewerage plant... so I suppose it is "chemical" in a way.

I agree that the power plant is a bit unsightly as you drive into Cape Town. Although all in all, I absolutely loved the city.
