Melbourne is the capital of the state of Victoria, the smallest state on the mainland. It's not a major tourist spot compared to Sydney, Gold Coast, Darwin etc. You don't know what you are missing if you decided to skip Melbourne on your touring route around Australia. :þ
I love camping and the great outback, do check out Off the Beaten Path for the best of Victoria. :) |

Just a quick addition to your warning that it might be better to try and avoid the Kangaroos! They can damage your car beyond repair and cause quite a bit of injury to the passengers inside. Happy driving!! |
