I've been to Blokzijl quite some times already, and I like it everytime I'm there. It is a very picturesque small city, which looks more like a town.

When in the Provincie Overijsel you shouldn't miss this nice little city. In the heart of the town are the harbour, the sluice and the bridge over it. Right next to the sluice is one of the best restaurants of the Netherlands, called Kaatje bij de Sluis. Opposite the restaurant is the hotel that belongs to the restaurant.

Sluiszicht must be a great place to hang out, but I'd actually prefer to have my own boat in that sluice! thanks for this lovely Dutch page; I won't forget Blokzijl anymore! and... killing all the flies for us...you're too kind :-)!

Well done Martin! To think that I very nearly lived there, in a house in the harbour. But I came to Brielle instead :-)
