The beach and the Palace pier - Brighton

The beach and the Palace pier

Palace Pier Palace Pier Review

The Palace Pier is quite nice for a walk. However it is very touristy and very very tacky! I liked it for the fact that the views were quite nice and since there was this South African shop where you could buy biltong and other SA delicacies. At the beginning of the pier you can go through a huge arcade, which just drives you nuts. We went in to use the toilets, but couldn't find them, so we decided to walk outiside again. At the end of the pier you can find some attractions, like a roller coaster and a ferris wheel.

Buildings - Brighton
Buildings

There are quite a few nice buildings around town. Of course the most well known and one of the most popular sights of Brighton, The Royal Pavillion. Unfortunately we didn't have enough time to check it out properly. We just drove pass it and saw it in the blink of an eye. The building you see in the picture is actually a hotel. It can be found in some sidestreet of the boulevard, close to where we parked.

Brighton Beach The Beach Review

The beach in Brighton is certainly not up there with the best beaches in the world. It is a pebbly beach, so not really nice to sit on with your blanket. Also not so good on your feet if you decide to walk across the beach to go for a swim. So make sure that you bring some comfortable chair with you to place yourself in to make the most of it.

The boulevard

Probably the best thing we did in Brighton was simply walking along the boulevard, taking in the views, eating fish and chips, looking for sunglasses and checking out the little stalls.
