On a Monday Morning Alex and I drove from Great Missenden, Buckinhamshire to Brighton. We had planned the trip would take anything between an hour and a half and two hours. We got round the M25 easily, which was quite a surprise. However on the motorway down to Brighton things changed. We were stuck in a traffic jam for something like an hour so it took about 3 hours before we finally got to Brighton. Weather wasn't so fine anymore, but we decided to make the most of it, though time wasn't on our hands anymore really. We decided to go to the Lanes, a couple of shopping streets close to the High Street. After this we walked along the boulevard, had ome fish and chips and then we spend some time on the pier. Then it was already time to drive back.

    Hi Martin - Great Brighton page! Sorry you couldn't find the loo's on the pier - they are there though ... I've used them!! :))

    Martin, fantastic start about this lovely seaside resort. Are the English chips better than the dutch Pommes Frites??? :o)
