We stayed in Helsinki for 4 days. We didn't really know what we had to expect to see in Helsinki, but I can tell you Helsinki is fantastic. Normally 4 days would be enough to visit Helsinki, but we also went to see a concert and stood in line for that almost a whole day. Beside that, the days were every short since it was November. If I can give you just one tip, that would be to go site seeing during the couple of hours of daylight and visit museums etc. during early morning and late afternoon. Although there was snow everywhere, the weather was superb but cold, but I think we were just lucky to have no rain.

Pros and Cons
  • Pros:Beautiful clean city, with many attractions
  • Cons:It can be very cold during wintertime, so visit in summer!
  • In a nutshell:Without having any expectations, this city turned out to be great!!!

    Brilliant page with nice photos. I styed in the stadion hostel as well. Especially the bus info is helpful. #617 is only going one per hour ... :-)

    One of the best Helsinki pages ever!! Gr8 job! The movie theater you were, is "Rex", one of the oldest in Helsinki. And, in Finland we dont dub our movies;they are always with subtitles, by the way.
