Situated on a magnificent archipelago stretching all the way to the Baltic Sea, Stockholm is a city of impressive beauty both natural and man-made. 60% of the city area consists of waterways, parks and green spaces.
Despite the fact that almost 1.6 million people live in the greater Stockholm area, it retains the feel of a relaxed almost laid-back city, with its bridges, towers and steeples, cobbled squares and beautiful parks.
The best time to visit Stockholm would be in the summertime. The days are very long then so you can see a lot of thing. You also have to bring your swimming gear then and jump into the water at Stadshuset!
Also in wintertime visiting Stockholm is fantastic. When it's cold enough you can skate around the city on frozen waterways which is unique and unforgettable experience.
For me Stockholm is the favourite city I've been to so far. Over the last 4 years I've been 4 times in Stockholm. None of the trips ever bored me, because there is always something that you forgot to see the last time you were there.
For my next trip I want to see Millesgården, Drottningholm, Hagaparken and Skansen among some other interesting things like churches and the archipelago.
- Pros:Friendly people, clean city and long summerdays!
- Cons:Short winterdays with sometimes a bit grumpy people...
- In a nutshell:VISIT THIS WONDERFUL CITY!!!
