Chairlift up to the start of the track

After a brief stopover in Jindabyne we drove on to Thredbo. This ski-ing village is very European like. Very steep streets that tested my driving skills a lot. Luckily I didn't bump into anything or anyone.

In the wintertime the slopes of the mountain are filled with skiers from all over the place. In summer the town has a lot of people that want to walk tracks in the National Park. Mount Kosciuscko is the highest mountain in Australia and attracts many ozzies aswell as tourists, that want to do the hike to the top of the mountain. And so did we.

Nice page here! I was a little more "away" from the touristy spots, but really liked the place. Are these skiing kangaroo signs real .. or did someone use his artists skills?

I just got back from Thredbo...we got to the top of Mt Kosi and it was beautiful!!! What a pity the wind was so strong for you...
