I went to Antarctica when I was 17. It was an unexpected trip, I only found out about the expedition 2 weeks before it was due to leave when an old teacher of mine called and asked if I wanted to go to Antarctica out of the blue. I, of course was ecstatic and we began fundraising like mad. Amazingly enough, we were able to raise $10k for the trip and I was off to the bottom of the world. |
