The It's a Grind Coffee chain is a Long Beach institution that manages to thrive in the competitive coffee market. Starbucks recognized this small chains success and immediately opened shops across the street from each of the It's a Grind coffehouses. Locals actively boycott Starbucks by starting their day with coffee at one of the 6 family owned locations. The original is at the corner of Spring & Los Coyotes. Other locations are as follows: Signal Hill - next to Costco Traffic Circle - next to the car wash Bixby Knolls- Atlantic Ave

Malvasia is closed....It's now George's Greek restaurant....Still a good place to go for dinner....Almost any cafe on 2ND ST. is great ! |
