City of Contented Sighs

Savored Moments

On approach to Paris, I heard the delighted gasps of my fellow passengers and noticed many of them peering and pointing out their windows. I strained across an aisle too see what the excitement was all about and soon joined in the gasping as I caught my first view of the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triumph down below.

As jet lagged as I have ever been, I have always found exhilaration in the moment I arrive at my destination. In Paris, this feeling was multiplied ten-fold.

This trip was long awaited. Not because I scrimped and saved to get here but because I refused to visit this city with anyone less than a true fine love.

My body and soul savor every moment that was spent in Paris Months later I find myself still sighing over the tastes, sights and pleasures which engulfed my senses.

Paris stays with you...

Fashionable Suggestions

When in doubt, wear black.

It is nearly impossible to be overdressed in Paris.

Men: Keep a jacket at the ready.

Women: Wear one stunning piece of jewelry.

Style is in the details - go all out on shoes and belts.

With color, less is more.

Don't forget the designer label umbrella

Old is better than new

Half the charm of Paris lies within the walls of its oldest buildings and along her well traveled avenues. Paris celebrates the old and the very grand with out pretentiousness.

Moments here are not to be rushed.

Paris shall be savored in the same way than a good glass of wine (of the 160€ bottle kind): No rushes allowed :-)
