Toronto Travel Guide: 4,270 reviews and 8,783 photos
I used to get to Toronto on business so mostly I spent time downtown. The restaurants and people were great. I found some wonderful places to frequent. One in particular was Alice Fazooli's; it's a bit eclectic, but the food is out of this world (if you like seafood and steak).
Only an hour or so (sort of) south of Toronto is the magnificent Niagra Falls. While the falls have moved over the years (track the movement in the museum) they remain a magnifisent representation of the power of nature.
A ride on "The Maid of the Mist" or sister boats is a must do tourist attraction. You WILL GET WET so take the rain coat offered when you board and watch out for camera equipement.
And as the saying goes...when in Rome...So regardless who you root for, you have to watch a baseball game. Doing it from the top of the CNN tower however makes for an interesting angle....(sadly the Jays lost that day).
- Pros:Downtown is easy to get around in the underground
- Cons:Bloody cold in January.

The evening crowd keeps this intimate location quite crowded. A couple of "locals" indicated that they came about twice... more travel advice
